Aurora Aksnes was born on June 15th 1996 in Stavanger and known professionally as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase as AURORA is an Norwegian singer and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, was released in May of 2015 by Decca Records to great approval by music blogs and the media. Half the World Away, by the Oasis group for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy, by Nat King Cole are two of the most well-known covers by the artist. Katy Perry's praise for her song Runaway in a blog post added to the musician's praise. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical experiences include discovering the piano in her attic and discovering the music it created. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes urged Aurora Aksnes on to try music as an activity or profession. So she started making her own lyrics. She has cited renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan for inspiration, as well as an affinity for Bjork's style. She decided to start performing the songs she wrote publicly after her mom suggested they could help people not be famous with the work she does, but to help people see around them realize their importance and the ways they have an impact on the world. In the age of 6, she began to play the piano. At age nine, she was writing music. She didn't tell her family about it until the age of fourteen. Aurora wasn't just a fantasy of childhood. She says she just likes writing songs. According to her, music is the most effective way to express anything.
